| Jaipur | Krishna Park Posted: Thu November 24, 2005 05:40 PM UTC
Hi,
I am traveling to Jaipur this coming Jan. with 4 of my friends, and my mother. Years ago, I was taken to a beautiful park somewhere near Jaipur, there were statues of Krishna, with recordings explaining different scenes the statues played out. I cannot remember how to get to the park from Jaipur. Does anyone know of the park that I speak of, and possibly a name and location? Also, My sister is saying a train from Delhi to Algra is better then renting a driver and a car leaving and returning to Jaipur. Any opinions of this? Thank you very much! Linda |

Hello Devam:
The park had life size statues. The one I remember the most is a bathing pool, There are a few women in the water, Krishna is on a tree branch overlooking the bathing pool, their depatas (wraps) are also strung in the trees where Krishna had thrown them. It is one of the most beautiful parks I had visited while in Jaipur, but it has been possibly 8 years since I was there. I am thrilled to hear there is a train from Jaipur to Agra. Again, that wasn't so the last time I was there. Thank you for your time to attempt to help. Linda

Thank you Devam!
I was beginning to believe I had made the park up in my mind. Thank you so much for the time you spent trying to find it for me. I have written the name down, and will definitely take my mother and my friends to this beautiful park when we arrive in Jan. Again, thank you for your help! Linda
