Double check and make things are going to be open.Lots of rumors of that area not being open until the summer due to storms.

Thanks for the reply, but you're probably thinking of Cancun. That area was indeed devastated by the hurricane. Tulum seems to have made out well, fortunately. I've corresponded with some folks in the specific area there, and eveything seems to have been put back in order in a matter of days. Cancun, on the other hand, looks as though it may well not be functioning on anything like its old level for quite a while. Thanks again for the warning, either way.

We are thinking about heading that direction in Feb. as well. I found this web site that indicates just about everything is back to normal.
