Grand Bahama Island Cheap flights from New York to Grand Bahama (or anywhere in Bahamas$£"£$"$£)
Posted: Wed November 16, 2005 07:53 PM UTC
Can anyone suggest the name of a budget airline (eg like JetBlue or SouthWest) that fly from any New York airport to Grand Bahama? We're after a return flight leaving NYC on 27th March and returning 1st April. Not particurly fussed about where in the Caribbean we go, but some of the hotels on GB look quite good.

Many thanks

I don't know about cheap - AFAIK the only airlines that go from NYC to the Grand Bahama are American, Delta, Continenal, United and USAir. Of those, United seems to be the cheapest at about $363 per person for round trip on those dates. There is service between the islands on something called the Yellow Air Taxi.

On Grand Bahama or Nassau you don't have to take taxis - you can take the jitney buses for about $1.00

ALso - the Bahamas are not in the Caribbean, they are in the Atlantic.
