Has anyone been to this hotel in Dahab? Looking to go for 2 weeks next year but want somewhere nice but not Hilton etc...for our 20th wedding anniversary. Many Thanks

Hi there, I just came back from there. It's a real nice little hotel, actually its 2 hotels, the Beach Palace at the Beach and the Residence directly behind it across the streets (rooms in Residence are cheaper).
The hotel is great for individual travellers, very friendly atmosphere, nice staff with great knowledge of what's going on in Dahab (restaurants, bars, desert-tours, snorkeling/diving-trips), EXTREMELY clean (never saw anything like this even in 5 Star hotels). Nice bright rooms furnitured in a little oriental style, each room with own balcony/terrace. The hotel owns a little beach with sunbeds, however it was impoassible to swim/snorkel from the beach because of the strong wind and resulting surge at the beach. So for swimming, we went to Blue Hole in the North (50-70 Egypt. pounds per Taxi) or to the Lagoon in the South (30 min. walk). I would always prefer this little hotel to any Hilton in the world.
