Any recommendations for a special Christmas dinner in Morelia on Christmas or Christmas Eve. I'll be staying in Patzcuaro, but can drive there if necessary.

My guess is that few restaurants will be open on Christmas Eve. If any are, there are likely to be very few people out and about. Christmas Eve is, traditionally, an evening that people spend with family - the "Noche Buena." Not many people venture out to eat/drink, etc. from what I've observed. Christmas Day, people do get out, but it's still a family day; however, some restaurants are likely to be open - but I have no specific recommendations. If it were me, I'd probably stay put in Patzcuaro.
