Does anyone have advice on the best bus(s) to take... I am arriving at the SJO airport (at 1 pm, weekday) and need to get to the Cascada Verde Retreat in Uvita. Thanks ~ Sam

Usually there are buses every hour for Alajuela, San Jose area, and every hour to other parts of the country from San Jose. You would have to go to San Jose to get a bus to Uvita.

These are the directions From San Jose:
Take the MUSOC bus to San Isidro de General. Buses leave daily almost every hour. The trip takes 3 hrs. and costs about $3. From San Isidro take the bus from the Uvita/Dominical station (5 minutes from where the San Jose drops you off) to Uvita. Buses leave at 9:00 a.m. & 4:00 p.m. It takes about 2 hrs. and costs about $2. To arrive in daylight catch the 9:00 a.m. bus. Get off after the gas station. Please ask the bus driver for "Soda Naranjita". Its a 20 minutes walk from there or ask at the Soda for a Taxi ($3)
