Any personal recommendations on a day tour in Addis Ababa? I am going to be there for a day and a half in February and would like to see the major sites of the city, including the market. Thanks!

In Addis, you wo'nt have any problem to find what to see but there is a half a day tour I recommand : on the road to the North via Debre Markos, see the "Muga Gorges". Nice landscape, a 100 meters waterfall, Gelatas monkeys (only in Ethiopia).

There is a tour office in the Hilton that offers a variety of tours in and around Addis. We took the full day tour and were pleased. I will use them again next time I visit the country.
DO write down every place the tour promises to take you tho, as your guide might try to slip out of going everywhere.
