hello everyone, I wonder if someone could help me please, I am travelling to badajoz in november from manchester airport uk and wonder if anyone knows if it is easier/faster to get there via madrid and catch the train down or travel via lisbon and catch the train across. any help gratefully received,I have no sense of direction whatsoever but as i love to travel..... I tend to get lost a lot..... :-)

hi
i think it depends on how much your budget is. you could fly to lisbon and badajoz would be nearer but there again flights to lisbon might be more expensive and with ryan air or easyjet (not sure) you probably get really good bargains for flights to madrid. from madrid get a train or bus, whatever suits you better connections are good. if you look for accomodation check www.hospitalityclub.org or www.couchsurfing.com you have to become a member, it is free joining, and you get local people helping you with accomodation or showing around for free. i am a member of both, have been for 1 year now. i have hosted many people by now and have been hosted too in berlin, all positive experience. drop me a line if you want to know more or i can be of more help. cheers Cris
