Hi, i'm going to be arriving in Poznan on Thursday afternoon (27/10/2005). I'm going to be staying at the System Premium Poznan hotel. How much would it cost me to get a cab from the airport to my hotel?

and how far is my hotel from the sites?

i'm going to be there for 5 days and will also need some advice on things to do.

Just a practical advice.
Take a taxi - a member of a company ( not a private one ) - they have moderate prices. You can find here useful phone numbers:

Poznan is a nice city. There are many things to do and to see.

Visit Old Town, town hall, Ostrow Tumski, Opera, Fredry Street - there is nice cafe.

thanks guys, i'm here now. Arrived earlier. Will hit the streets tomorrow morning. btw : where can i get a streetmap & how would i get around? :/

in berlin i used the bus/tube and walked. but the hotel there was very helpful. this one is not helpful unfortunatly :-(

You can buy streetmap at kiosks marked "RUCH" or in the bookstore "KSIEGARNIA" or EMPIK megastore(ask somebody about it-IT MUST BE IN THE CITY CENTER)about the transportation -Trams or buses,instantly You can check Poznan's map on their website,probably www.poznan.pl(IF not just type POZNAN in google)
