A-li-shan Travel Forum

Hi all,

Any idea it there any way to book the A-li-shan forrest rail train ticket through website? I had read up some website,saying that must book through phone call 2 month in advance before departure date.and pay at the chiayi train station upon confirmation within 7 days.if not, booking will be void. I had plan to go there in month of dec 05.

December is not a peak holiday period here. I had just suggested to someone else that you can take a bus up to Alishan and then take the train down.

Chiayi County Bus Departs Chiayi daily at 7:10, 9:10, 11:10 a.m., and 1:30,
3:30 p.m. and Alishan daily at 8:30, 9:40 a.m.,and 12:00, 2:00, 4:00 p.m. Travel time,approx. 2~2.5 hours. Price: NT$150 (one way) for adults. For more information, call 886-5- 223-8372 (05) 227-8866 or(05) 267-9922.
