i will be going to rothenburg nov.3-6. i have reservations at hotel gotisches haus for 2 of those nights. I want to stay the 3rd night in another hotel just to try something diff bec there are so many nice places to stay there. but am worried i might not find any free rooms and wont have anywhere decent to stay. should i just book now or wait till i'm there so i could see personally the hotel and maybe even choose which room i want? this is a big trip for me so want to stay at the quaintest more fairy tale like place that will really bring me back in time. I'm a hopeless romantic! by the way, will be going with my husband so need a double room. any suggestions? nothing too expensive. if you know of a hotel or B&B like that even in dinkelbuel of norlingen pls let me know! thanks!

that's a great idea! didnt think of that! thanks! am looking forward to a lot of shopping in rothenburg, not necessarily buying a lot. but should be fun!am looking forward to it!think its gonna be the highlight of my trip.to think i loved the "germany" part of epcot when i was there 12 yrs ago. didnt know about rothenburg then.just found out it was based on rothenburg and now i'm going to the "real deal". no more disney imitations!

oh ya, will definitely do the wall walk and the criminal museum and the nightwatchman tour, etc. actually getting my schengen visa tom. my travel agent told me ususally they issue a visa starting on the day you indicated in your itinerary that you will enter a schengen country. if they do that then i cant add an extra day to rothenburg. hope they give me a visa a day or two earlier so i can go earlier from london. if not, will be in rothenburg nov 4-6. guess itll have to do but dont think i'll have too much time to visit dinkelbuel and nordlingen.
