I will be visiting Amarillo for a couple of days beginning of November.
Do you have any suggestions what to do ? I love nature and long hikes. Andreas |

Howdy,
I find Amarillo to be a place with a lot of personality. Most don't know, but it has some pretty good nightlife, and restaurants. Cowboy cooking is the local cuisine. If your into nature and hiking, the best place is the Palo Duro canyon state park. It's south east of Amarillo, and east of the city of Canyon. In Canyon, there's a great museum of the texas plains on the local Texas A&M campus. Happy trails, Marc

Thanks for your input.
I will be leaving in two days and I am looking forward to seeing how Northern Texas is like (and to seeing my friend). It will take me more than 18 hrs to get there from Germany, what a remote place! Andreas
