hello people
i am finishing working at 7pm on November 3rd and need to know if there is a train to Amsterdam around 8pm from Essen. Any help?
Otherwise, can you suggest me a cheap train to Amsterdam the next day? Thank you

Check for Duisburg to Amsterdam and see if you can get one of the Europe-Special-Tickets for the ICE trains which are EUR 19,00. Unlike normal tickets this tickets are however only valid for the booked connection. No change. No refund.
Than travel by RE train from Essen to Duisburg (12 min, EUR 3,70). This is a connection inside the local public transport network VRR of the Ruhr area. Thus the VRR tariff applies, not the DB tariff if you use local public transport like the RE trains. While DB tickets are point-to-point tickets, VRR tickets are zone-to-zone tickets. The ticket covers the journey from anywhere in Essen (e.g. by bus or tram) to the Hauptbahnhof and from there by RE train to Duisburg.
