I am looking for the best form of transportation between Stockholm and the Ronneby/Kallinge area that is no too costly. plane, train, or automobile all are open options.

Cars are quite expensive to rent in Sweden. You can go by coach or by train and train will be quicker whilst coach will be cheaper.
Train tickets are only cheap if you purchase them in advance. The Swedish railways site is www.sj.se and trains will take you to Ronneby (although there is a change to bus the last bit as they are electrifying the line down there now). To get all the way to Kallinge just outside, you can ask for a "Resplus" ticket if you book a train ticket. That way, you get a ticket that is valid for the local bus service to Kallinge too. Check this site: www.resplus.se If you want to go by coach, have a look at: www.swebusexpress.se (just click on English) or http://www.svenskabuss.se (only in Swedish but it's line 31). But that can take ten hours...

It's true that SAS right now is very cheap with domestic flights if you manage to get a ticket!
