| Valladolid | Valladolid airport Posted: Tue October 11, 2005 02:11 PM UTC
Hi,
I'll be flying to Valladolid Airport for the first time this December. I need to get to Palencia from there but don't know what the best way to do this is. A taxi costs about 60 Euro's and hire car costs about 70 Sterling for the 3 days. What I haven't been able to find is information on trains or buses. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks, daftpunk |

For info about trains, go to http://www.renfe.es/regionales/regionales_cleon.html

there are buses that takes you from the airport to the bus station: forget the taxis. Once in the bus station, there is a regular coach company, "la serrana" (I remember), that takes you to Palencia, but anyway ask in the information desk.
If you wanna go by train, the station is very close: just go out the building of the bus station, start walking on your left side, go down the street and in 3 minutes you'll see the train station on your right. The train taking you to Palencia arrives at 15.30 and 21.30 (aprx), and the ticket must cost between 2 and 4 euros (discount with euro card for young people). May be the bus is better. Good luck and enjoy Palencia!

Thanks for all the info - I'm actually from Palencia but have lived in London for most of my life now. I always try and get back there for Christmas to see family and grand parents but this is the first time I've flown to Valladolid. I still haven't given up hope of getting a lift from a family member!!!
