Hi. Im Andy and im planning to work in either Zermatt or Verbier this winter for the up and coming skiing season. I am currently working in Majorca as a barperson and a chef and I have been promised a very good reference. I was wondering if I could just turn up to my chosen resort either Zermatt or Verbier with my cv and refence and just look around for a bar/cook job. Ive previously worked in Rhodes ( Greek Iskand ) for 2 summer seasons as a barman and now in Majorca (Spanish Island)Im am 25 years old and Im planning on leaving to Switzerland in late November or early December and stay untill April. If anyone has any advice I would be most greatfull. I am from London England and English is the only language I can speak... Thanks

It is certainly best to fix a job a long time in advance. regulations are quite strict in Switzerland and officially you are not really allowed to get inside the country before you have a work-permit. and also afterwards you may officially not travel around as a tourist - ALTHOUGH they might hardly ever catch you :-)
