Cheaper to buy ciggies and alcohol from airport duty free or Jersey its self, being still tax free.

You know dont I sound a right lush what with curry houses, cigs and drink !!!!

i don't smoke but wanted to venture a reply to help you out.
i would buy at the airport for ease and saving time.
gas stations, convenience stores, supermarkets are generally more expensive than discount bulk retailers. the cheapest is probably a discount warehouse but those require planning, membership, long lines...
airport!

Contary to the earlier reply, as a resident of the said island and not the USA version.. It is cheaper to buy the cigarettes by far on the UK side of the airport, or on the boat if you travel by sea. Jersey has long since been a duty free place to buy cigs and booze..
