Iquitos Jungle Boogie

I am leaving in one month for South America and I am so excited! I am anxious to hear any advice on how to get to Iquitos on a really tight budget. I know that i have to fly, and so far TANS looks like the cheapest option...i just dont how hard it will be to get flights a few days in advance during high tourist season. I also know that i cant afford a really expensive boat tour, so are there options for a budget jungle tour? i would love any advice or recomendations.

If you're going in November that isn't high tourist season which is May-September even though that's not summer there. Summer is rainy season and it will be getting quite wet by the time you go so things should be a little quieter.

I fly out tomorrow for 3 weeks and can't wait, I was over in May which was reasonable but just getting busy towards the end of the month. By now I hope things are a bit calmer again after what has reportedly been a manic tourist season.

Sorry I can't comment on TANS, I am using LanPeru for international and internal flights this time (Taca last trip for Lima to Cusco only having gone in with KLM from UK).
