Can anyone tell me how far is it by foot from Cortona train station to the town center? Or it have to take a bus to the town center?

I saw on www.trenitalia.com (map section) that Camucia(Cortona) is where the rail stations is at P.zza Libertà and Cortona "town center" is about at four km far. Do not image a "big town".

Take a bus. It's not only 4 kms, but a steep twisty climb as well. The station is actually in Camucia, a small industrial town at the bottom of the mountain. Cortona is at the top of the mountain. Buy bus tickets at the bar in Camucia.
