| Valparaíso | internships, August 2006? Posted: Wed October 5, 2005 02:44 PM UTC
hey guys,
I'm looking for the perfect situation, perfect meaning I need a lot of luck! Here are the facts: 1)I've been an English teacher here in Germany for 2.5 years (I'm American) 2)My girlfriend studies Art History, English and German (she's German) 3)We both speak a little Spanish, we've studied some and could get caught up quickly but need some practice 4)She needs an internship, preferably with a museum, that lasts a month or so 5)I would like to teach English during that time 6)We'd like to have Spanish classes in the morning and accomodation taken care of, perhaps with the school I would teach at Ideally, we would both take Spanish in the morning, I would stay at the school and teach in the afternoons, she would go to work in a museum, giving tours in English and German or?? and on the weekends we could do trips to the surrounding area. Is this possible, do you have ideas? Thanks! jason in Freiburg, Germany |

I forgot, we're looking for a college town, or a place with lots to do, is SAFE and not the most expensive place!

I want to know about the word "voluntary". If it means without pay, fine, but then would our Spanish classes and accomodation be free then? And unfortunately, we would potentially be on that continent until mid-July 2006 so...

Hi Jason,
Dave's ESL Cafe at www.eslcafe.com has a large number of resources for ESL teaching such as discussion forums for teachers and students; interactive quizzes; and pages for learning idioms, slang, and phrasal verbs. You may also enjoy checking out www.craigslist.org if you don't know about that resource already. Happy trails, ZZ
