what is the best way to get to west point for a dayfrom new york city to see a football game? take the train to garrison?? then how to get to the football stadium? thanks for your help.

I'm not sure Garrison would be the closest stop but could be. It's on the other side of the Hudson from West Point and there would have to be a bus connection that goes over the Bear Mountain Bridge. I've never seen buses there, but maybe my memory is bad. I'd call West Point and ask for their help. Perhaps a bus from NYC would be more handy.. a rented car for sure. It's only about an hour's drive.

some years ago, there was bus service to WP from the Port Authority terminal in New York City. However, if you rent a car, the trip is easy and extremely scenic. Parking around the football stadium is not so easy however - often as cosiderable distance.
