hi, has anyone stayed at keekorok lately (after the fire)?
how is the condition of rooms and lodge in general?

i am back from masai mara. stayed at keekorok lodge. let me get something straight for those who look for something special: this is the place!
simple rooms but tastefully decorated. very clean. bathroom, showers: all beyond our expactations. rooms are comfortable. keekorok has a great atmosphere. very friendly staff. food is above standarts. huge gardens to enjoy, plus the advantage of swimming pool.
i had worries after i saw some videos taken in the rooms at certain websites. but now i think they belong to years ago. Keekorok now is in an excellent condition. take my word for it.

one important note: don't bring to kenya USD banknotes printed before year 2000. they won't be accepted.

Keekorok is up and running, stopped there for lunch in mid october. The renovatons are very nice. Can't believe there was ever a fire.
