I'll be going to NZ on a package tour in Dec and I'll have a free day in Queenstown. Does anyone know any nice place for shopping? Thanks.

You should be fine just wandering around in the center where all the shops are...QT is not that big. There are tons of little stores within a few blocks of each other...enjoy!

the above reply is very true...loads of shops within a small area and the centre of QT is pretty small so won't take you too long to get around. Also this gives you more time to explore the surrounding area a bit - i'd reccommend a walk up nearby queenstown hill, inteersting walk and great views from top! enjoy

or try to visit Arrowtown for a half day

It depends on what you want to buy. There are numerous stores in Queeenstown within the town area but I find shopping in Arrowtown to be more scenic and pleasant. Arrowtown is just 5 mins away by car.

Thanks for everyone's advice. I can't drive. Are there other ways to get to Arrow town?

are things in QT cheap? Coz its very touristy so i should think the stuff are ex?

I think there are some bus services but you have to visit the visitor's centre to enquire about fares and schedules. Some people also choose to visit Arrowtown on tours combined with visits to other towns and activities.

I think stuff in Queenstown can be about 10% and above in costs as compared to other places in NZ because it's rather touristy.
