Can someone advise me the best way of getting from the Greyhound terminal in Catherine St to the Capital Hill Hotel, Albert St. Is it walkable or easier to use public transport?

I suggest you take public transport. It will be at least an half hour walk (with luggage?).

It's been a while since I was in Ottawa using the buses, but I don't think it would've changed all that much. Walk one block over to Bank St. and catch the bus - used to be #7 (oh, and you have to cross to the far side of Bank St. for that). There should be some information signs in the station, or ask at the counter. They may even sell bus tokens/tickets there at the bus station.

the number 1, or 7 - you can catch on bank street.. make sure you cross the road so that you are going teh right direction.

The number 4 you can catch right beside the bus station on kent street.

Just ask the bus driver to holler when he gets by albert. Take like 10 mminutes on the bus. The schedules are posted at teh bus stops.

The fare is around $3 but you can try to buy tokens from teh bus station
