Desperate Guy in Wisteria Lane

Hey guys ,

I desperately need some help here to suggest some nice and fine restaurant in KL for some overseas guest. The criteria is simple yet demanding

1) has to be HALAL
2) must serve vegetarian food as well
3) other than Bombay Palace, Passage Thru India, Coca Steamboat
4) has to be quite expensive ( but forget Cilantro and Lafite coz it has to be
more Malaysian )
5) has to be around KL or BB area .

thanks a million , I need it asap.

cheers

keny

1. Feast at bottom floor of Starhill shopping (quite expensive)

2. Pelita Samudra (walking distance from KLCC)

That is what I am think of doing after reading this month's Flavour Magazine featuring the fest village with a new look and design by a Japanese guy. I have tried Shook but felt that the food is not 'that' great and their menu is EXTREMELY heavy and bulky ( which is ridiculous ) .

There is a Chinese Restaurant but dont know if it is halal and got any vegetarian food ( without onions and garlic as well ).

There is also Enak there which will be the most likely place. The Lebanese and Korean restaurant there is also out . We want malaysian food ..lol

How about the Seri Melayu Restaurant on Jalan Conlay? The fasting month is here soon so the buffet spreads will be heavily booked and usually they have some cultural performance after the breaking of fast. On a similar note, their sister restaurant Seri Angkasa will provide you with fabulous view, something to distract you from the vast choice of food on offer.

Eden's Chulan Square is another option. The location is walkable distance from Starhill, about 300 meters roughly. Quite expensive and very international style and new, not many peoples know yet.

thanks all . at last we went to Nawab which is North Indian food ( the same row as Eden ) for teh first night and the Second night in MyThai in Feast Village , StarHill . The food were yummy and most importantly the ambience. All of you should check out that place coz the design is so cool ...and so many cool restaurant in there ...StarHill gallery ..thats the place :-)

Anyway thank you all for suggesting ...guess what i have got the next assignment ...Christmas Party dinner ...which my boss said has to be the more more expensive ...hmm....interesting

Thanks Bandit ,

We have done something like that ...but its quite messy ..I think we prefer somewhere nicer for Christmas party ..as for letting our hair down ...no problem ..
