We will be traveling from Frankfurt to Garmisch in 2 different Vans & want to be able to communicate without having to stop. Does anyone know what type of 2 way radios work in Germany?

Also you might want to consider buying used GSM cell phones on Ebay (tons available) and then buy SIM cards in Germany when you arrive. This will give you local cell phone numbers in Germany plus ability to communicate to any other cell phone worldwide. Plus incoming minutes are free.
