Hi,

I'm a Brit living in Singapore coming over to Delhi on 22/12 - I will be there for a couple of days before joing a tour organised by Geckos grassroots, and then a couple of days 5/01 - 7/01 (in total 4 days).
As my tour won't be 'relaxing' - public transport and local lodges etc... I would like a hotel that is comftable! My budget is would be no more than US$100 - prefer less! Do any of you have any sugestions/recomdations?
I don't have any cool weather clothing and so would like to know what I will need - ie jumpers, jackets etc... as not sure what to expect weather wise - the rest of my hols will be in Agra and throughout Ragasthan. Will I need to buy things here or if I need warm clothing can I get it easily and inexpensively when I arrive?
I am traveling on my own so any other advice/suggestions etc would be great!

Hi there,

I am sure you will find something that is below $100 in Delhi or anywhere in India. In Delhi and in the northern regions like Agra and Rajasthan in December and January, it will be pretty cold at night so you will need some warm clothes which you can buy once you are in Delhi. It is cheap too so you don't need to worry about the prices. You may contact VT member Radz for more details of good places to stay, sight seeing and for buying warm clothes in New Delhi. Delhi is not like South America..but Hotels are full all the time...And NEVER EVER ask anyone on the road for hotels..YOu will go to the cheapest one at expensive prices..

All delhi hotels are on net..

Check Google...
