| New Caledonia | Weather in January and February Posted: Fri September 23, 2005 01:16 PM UTC
Hi. I am thinking of travelling to New Caledonia in mid-late January/early February but have heard it is the tropical cyclone season then, and can be rainy and humid. Has anyone travelled then, what's the weather like? Thanks.

New Caledonia experiences sub-tropical weather all year round. It rarely drops below 25 degrees celcius. Jan-Feb is traditionally tradewind season but the destination does not experience as many tropical storms and cyclones as other South Pacific Countries because it is positioned to the South of them. Therefore it is still a good time to visit. Best weather in New Caledonia is between April and October.
