Has anyone been to ingapirca, ecuador is it worth a visit?

Definately worth a visit, but if you go, you should stay at the Posada Ingapirca (which is the only hotel I know of that is beyond the gates of the park - which means you can walk down at sunset and get great pictures.)
If you are planning a whole trip through Ecuador, what we've found to work best is to arrive at the POsada around sunset, check in, and then walk down for some good scenery/pictures/etc. Then, get up early and go do the 3 hour tour of the park before other people get there. By noon you'll be on the road to your next destination - there really is nothing else to see around Ingapirca! Also, although they are the best ruins in the country, don't expext Machu Picchu! Damon is right, do not expect Macchu Picchu. So if You have already been to the larger ruins in Peru, You might be disappointed by Ingapirca and better use the time to go somewhere else instead. If You have not it is well worth a visit.
