Hi folks,
I was wondering if it is possible to take a bus from La Serena to Las Flores or San Juan (Argentina) via ruta 41. This road passes through one of the highest passes in the andes (Paso del Agua Negra) and I know it is a popular challenge for cyclists, but does anyone know if there is also a bus service that takes this route? thanks in advance, Mark |

Hi!
Did you make the trip already? We were there last April and recall meeting a German cyclist at a COPEC station on the Panamericana who was planning to take ruta 41. We drove on it probably halfway to Argentina but turned back when the pavement ended, since we were making such slow time due to herds of animals in the roadway! The views were breath-taking though.
