| Ko Lanta | Best resorts in Ko Lanta? Posted: Fri September 16, 2005 09:19 PM UTC
Hi there,
We are going to Ko Lanta in November and we have been told that after the tsunami, most of the infrastructure should be up and running but how about the coast and the beach? We have been told that some parts of the coast might have suffered (coral beds, etc...) and might not be as nice for diving and snorkeling. Would you know what are the best beaches to go and enjoy at least the snorkeling? Any knowledge of beaches that would be better to avoid (because of mass tourism or damage to the marine landscape)? Thanks, guys! |

You can actually try PhiPhi Island, Phuket, Coral Island or even Phang Nga Bay. Else you mat try Similan Islands for diving. They have one of the best dive sites around the region with sight going to as far as 45m underwater.

Hi,
thanks a lot. We have already our tickets for Ko Lanta so we have to stick to it. I was only hoping the island would not be too damaged by the tsunami. Thanks!!
