Crossing The Dividing Line?

Have any Cypriot Vt members made the most of crossing the border between the two parts of the island? If so, where did you head to?

i was there in turkish cypriot part and i hired a car and eplored the whole island. It was lovely to be there. But the people were not so easy going. You have to bargain with them for the prices and make sure that u get what u wanted !

Go around the island alongwith the coastal way. starting from Girne to Lefkosa to FaMagusta to the tip of the Northern Turkish Cypriot islandīs part - i forgot the name - It is very calm and very famous for its Turtle beaches, Sunset overhere is one of the most romantic and scenic ones.

Then come back to girne from the northern coastal road. Start early in the morning so that u can make it easily with fun by the (early) night. there are no street lights in the way and some of the roads might be dangeorus. Check from locals there !

Take Care and have fun !

Hi and thanks for your interest in our country.
Actualy I have not crossed the line even though it is the first time in 30 years I can. I feel funny having to show my passport to go to my father's village... If my father insists I will go however for his sake.

Take care,
Alex
