| Sorak-sanmaek | Mount Sorak in early Oct 2005 Posted: Thu September 15, 2005 03:12 PM UTC
Hi
I will be re-visiting Mount Sorak National Park in early Oct 2005 as part of my South Korea holiday trip. Does anyone know whether the leaves will already turn to the autumn colours during this period of time? Any information will be appreciated. Regards Victor |

It should have started by then, but not completed. You can check the Korea Herald newspaper online and see. They usally put a column on the website about the best predicted time to see the turning of the leaves. By the way, you do know that because of that it is the most crowded time to go up there.

Hello Victor, you're off to Korea again?? Yup by Oct, the golden leaves would have appeared. Usually, the leaves would start changing colors by Sep and peak by mid Oct or so. But of course, everything depends on the wind and weather conditions.
Hope you have a nice trip there btw, glen

Suwon? Hmm, they might bring you to Everland and the Korean Folk Village. Is the everland pix included in the package? If not, I'll share with you how to get a discount, keke.

I think if Suwon it is for the folk village. Everland is in Yongin and in the other direction. Suwon itself has a few cultural things too such as the original wall around the city.

Thanks a lot for your useful tips on South Korea!
I just came back from my South Korea trip and it was an enjoyable break from work. Managed to catch some autumn colours in the early part of autumn :) Will post some information & photos on VT when I have the time. Thanks again for all of you with your tips :) Regards Victor
