I'll be going in September to Kaunas but my flight is to Vilnius, so I was wondering if I could take a cab directly from the airport to Kaunas without paying too much.I t was a tip a lady from Lithuanian airlines gave me, I was wondering if its doable cause it would save me a lot of trouble taking a bus...

Hi,
Theoretically it's possible. Any cabdriver would be glad to take you from Vilnius airport to Kaunas, but you should negotiate the price thoroughly. The distance is roughly 100 km-s. Be sure the cabdriver won't try to charge you also for his backjourney. Safe journey.

You can take cab for sure. It will cost you aprox 120 Litas (35 Euro). I hope that you will not take some car without any signs that it is taxi. It can be so, that some man is offering you transportation just in arrival hall. Just go out and in front of door you will see line of normal taxis. Take one of them. And I agree that you shoul negotiate price before trip.

Just got back from Kaunas where I spent a superb week! But as for the taxi, I had to give up the idea cause the taxi driver at the vilnius airport was asking me 65€ for the trip! And the bus to Kaunas is quite ok, so its the best solution.
