| Cadiz | Marinas in Cadiz Posted: Mon August 29, 2005 03:30 PM UTC
Hi,
I'm planning on flying into Jerez to meet my folks who will be in Cadiz - they're on a boat, and I'm wondering where the best marina for them to meet us in would be, both in terms of how easy to get to from the airport it is, and also what there is to see/do in the area for a long weekend. Please help! Thanks :-) |

The nearest marina to reach from the Jerez airport is at Puerto Sherry. http://www.puertosherry.com/ingles/nautico/principal.asp
A taxi to the marina would cost approx 30 euros. This marina is on the north side of the Bay of Cadiz and is well equipped. There is a hotel at the marina which is only really busy in July August and when they hold regattas/ sailing championships. The marina is facing Cadiz and it makes a nice sail over to Cadiz port. The nearest town is El Puerto de Santa Maria through which you will drive from Jerez.
