| Nadi | Backpackers close to Nadi.... Posted: Thu August 25, 2005 05:17 AM UTC
Hi everyone,
I'm arriving in Nadi airport on the evening of the 4th Sept. I only have four days but my flight gets in too late to make it to one of the islands on my first night. Any suggestions for a cheap but decent backpackers that is easy access from the airport??? Also I'm still undecided about what resort to head for. Not sure if beachcomber would really be my thing - sounds like it might be a bit too customised for backpackers! Some one suggested Nananu island lodge and someone else mentioned octopus resort.... Anyone have any ideas for poor disorganised me?!?!?! Any suggestions greatly appreciated!! :-) |

I would suggest that you look at the Naviti resort on the Coral Coast. You can get a room only package or an all inclusive package that includes transfers, all meals and unlimited alcohol and drinks! There are a lot of free activities, snorkelling, golf, catamaran, swimming etc!!! Have a look.

| Nadi | RE: RE: Backpackers close to Nadi.... Posted: Mon August 29, 2005 05:16 PM UTC Are you arriving at 03.00am ? Nadi Bay Hostel in Nadi is a very popular and very nice backpackers hostel ! I stayed there a few times when I was in Fiji and I liked it there a lot. When you book a dormbed they have a free airport pick up also when you arrive at 03.00am ! Very handy. They also have a pool, 2 nice bars and restaurants with cheap and delicious food, free luggage storage and free safe for you valuables and a tour desk where you can arrange everything. Octopus Resort on Waya Island is a very nice budget resort in the Yasawas. The food is delicious and the dorms are very good and clean.

I'm about to leave for Fiji in two days. And I'm flying from Nadi to Kadavu in the afternoon on the day I get there(my flight from LA arrives at 3am, which yours will too). I've heard that Kadavu the most beautiful place to visit. And at Albert's Sunrise place you can camp for $6 a night and for $29 a day you can be served three meals. There are no stores or roads on this island, so this is the best "island experience" which was what I wanted to do.
