Saint Vincent and the Grenadines Getting to St Vincent
Posted: Mon August 22, 2005 01:44 PM UTC
Hiyah

Am traveling over to St Vincent early next year and am trying to find the best way of getting there.

I will be leaving from Mexico and was wondering if anyone new a better route than Mexico - Miami - Puerto Rico - St Lucia / Barbados on American Airlines? I can't find one.

Thanks

Ben

Actually, I have found airfares for Caribbean Star (Barbados - SBG) to be cheaper than LIAT by about $50-70US.

Also, if you are not pushed for time, have a look at Easycruise - in return for a guarantee that you will stay on board for 2 nights at GBP18 per night (food, drinks extra), they are running an interisland service that calls at St. Lucia, Barbados, St. Vincent, Martinique, Bequia. Just maybe the itinerary could fit your traveo plans.

Caribbean Sun/Star now offers flights from San Juan to St. Vincent but you may have to over night in San Juan to get the flight (both going and coming). You may have to book the Caribbean Sun/Star direct with them. Don't try Liat from San Juan as you will be flying for days (puddle jumping at it's finest). or as you have said go to either St. Lucia or Barbados and fly LIAT or Caribbean Star (from barbados) to St. Vincint.

I also agree about going to Bequia. Have been there 2 years running for 10days each time. Loved it.

You should be able to fly direct from Miami to Barbado (or direct from Puerto Rico to St. Vincent as sunnibegi mentioned above) thus removing one sector from your itinerary.
