Is is possible to get to Westvleteren by train??

You can't get there by train. Check www.delijn.be for train/bus combination, but it will take almost 2h30 one way. (45 minutes on the "bel"-bus = you need to caal in advance to let them know you're going to take the bus). So it ain't easy.

Are you going for the beer (http://www.sintsixtus.be)? Do know that it's very (very) limited. They were sold out, and just started a new delivery. I would advise to try other good Belgium beers :-)
Remark: there are about 3 pubs in Gent that have West-Vleteren sometimes, but now-a-days changes are very small to get it.

If it is for the beer, as written by Marc, the amount of beer is very limited (last news was it is reduced to 1 crat/car) and do inform if you can get it if you come by feet or not.
YOu need to buy a full crat, it doesn't go by the bottle.
Alternative is De Vrede opposite of the street. There you can buy them in smaller amounts. You will have to pay a little more/bottle however.
