Posted:** Wed August 17, 2005 05:31 PM UTC do u think it's safe 4 an american 2 travel 2 HK these days, since china seems like it will attack the U.S. if the U.S. sides w/taiwan...and now they R teaming up with russia, it seems. i am asian, but i still am f/america---what if something happens while i'm over there & they round up the americans and lock us up or something? geez, i just want 2 go to HK one week this sept.! i've never gone before & really wanted 2 go, but now i'm worried.... should i still go??? please reply soon! thank u! it might help me justify 2 my why it's safe 2 go...if i still want 2 go...haha. The Taiwan question has been pending for years, there has been no new element in the last weeks that could suggest any important move in the imediate future in this area (and Hong Kong and Taiwan are 2 completely different subjects).
