I am thinking about going snow skiing in or around Bishkek in December. I have heard that airports may be closed during this time frame. Can anyone inform me of the weather conditions around Bishkek during December.

The best month to go skiing in Kyrgyzstan is actually during July.
Of course it will be very cold in December and indeed the Bishkek airport will close during snowstorms and other bad weather conditions.

Thank You for writing. I have looked at your travel page and the nat.to.kg page and I think you are what I am looking for. I have communicated with some people in Bishkek but I think I will have a language problem. I will not be coming in December as I had hoped but rather the month of March I hope. I would really like to spend at least 7-10 days exploring your country and enjoying the beauty of the area. Thanks again for writing and I will read more about your company.

lol, it is kinda too late to go skiing in march, and with langugage problems, u can always hire some student to help u with that, there are a lot of those who would like to practise English and make some pocket money.

Hi, usually the weather in Kyrgyzstan is mild. temperature is about 0 or -10 C. There is not hard frost here. The level of snow in the mountains is enoght for skiing or bording, but in the city there is no snow usually.

Is there any specific information about ski areas near Bishkek in Novermber & December? Thanks
