| Nagoya | Nagoya Youth Hostel Posted: Wed August 10, 2005 11:46 AM UTC
They don't appear to have a website anymore. Can somebody tell me whether it is possible to book accommodation online or if the staff speak English (if I need to ring them?). I'm concerned that they may be fully booked due to the Expo.
I will need 2 beds initially from 24 september 5 nts. Many thanks! Mark |

Hi Mark,
I didn't know that their homepage already disappear ... Anyway, I booked this hotel by phone in Japanese but I think they can speak English. You have to call or fax to them for booking. No online booking available. wathy

Yes. That site was deleted....
For your info, please try Japan Youth Hostel Inc. site; http://www.jyh.or.jp/english/ Good luck!

My friend,
There are two hostels in Nagoya. One belongs to Youth Hostels and other belongs to other group called Hospitality Youth Hostel Group. This last is cheaper but there are some restrictions such as a limited number of days to stay at once, the curfew (it is closed at 21:00 or 22:00) and if you do not return before the set date you will not enter, and last inconvenience is that you CANNOT stay at the bedrooms and corridors and baths between 10:00 and 14:00. You are allowed to stay in the loundge only. Clue: the way to go around with the limited number of days is: stay the maximum allowed, find a new place for one or two nights and in the meantime try to book again at the Hospitality Youth Hostel. It may work... maybe not... it depends on the book and season. Luck mates!
