| Tirana | RE: travel from Tirane to Dubrovnik Posted: Thu August 11, 2005 08:14 PM UTC You have to take a bus to Shkora, they stop near the train station of Tirana and they run often at morning. They cost 200 lekes (about 1,70 euros) and it takes about 3 hours I guess. The bus will stop very near an old hotel where several mini buses (furgons) and also taxis will drive you to Ulcinj. A mini bus cost 5 euros and a taxi about 20. From Ulcinj it's not difficult to get Dubrovnick, I don't know if there's a bus straigh or if you have to make combination but it won't be difficult for sure. I advise you to stop in Ulcinj, it's very nice. Good luck

Hi,
since a few weeks there are two busses from Ulcinj to Dubrovnik, according to my information they leave at 2 pm and 5 pm from Ulcinj, I think it takes about 5 hours and the price is 15 . Best regards and have a nice time, Reinhard

You should take the "bus" (it is really mini-bus/van) into Shkoder and transfer there. These vans leave at various times throughout the day (it is generally not difficult to find someone leaving for Shkoder quite often and everywhere). The trip takes about 2-2.5 hrs. You should try to leave early though as the mini-buses from Shkoder to Ulcinj (Montenegro) depart less often - 11 am & 3 pm only (during June / July anyway). This trip takes about 1.5 hrs.
We rented a car in Ulcinj (yes, it is a very nice place to visit) and drove to Dubrovnik, Croatia. I believe it took us about 5 hrs. There are buses as well but I'm not certain of the schedules or times of departure but I'd be happy to help if you have any other questions as we did this trip last summer. Happy travels!
