Hi there
I am landing at Milan Linate airport on 1 September at 10.30am. Does anyone out there have experience of using the trains to Como? Am I better off hiring a car? |

We took the train from Geno with a short stop in Milan and then on to Lugano, which the stop just after Como. We found the train to be easy and relaxing. I would do it again in a minute.

Thanks a lot. Is it easy to negotiate Italian train stations? Do you need to pre-book, or can you just walk in? I understand they give you a ticket which you must get date stamped before you board the train? How does this work? Are the stamp machines on each platform?
