RE: Travel from Larnaca airport to Kyrenia HELP Posted: Sat August 6, 2005 08:09 PM UTC
A taxi is not a cheap option. Some drivers may even refuse to drive into the North so you should make it very clear at the airport taxi stand that you want to go to Kerynia. It's something like 25 - 30 CYP until Nicosia and an extra 10 CYP apprx to Kerynia, so it should cost you about 35 - 40 CYP all together. Now, some of the companies have an AYOR (at your risk) policy when their clients want to driver to the North. That means that if you cross North and an accident doen occur the insurance want cover it. What's the best option? Simply try one of the international companies (HERTZ, AVIS or similar) and tell them straight from the beginning where you are heading. They will tell you what their policy is and you will avoid any unpleasant surprises. I would surely rent a car. It's much cheaper.
