I plan to arrive at CQ, travel to Lijiang and fly back to Singapore from Kunming - within 7 days. Is the transportation for this route difficult? Do i take a bus or train?

Any suggestion would be useful. Thanks!!!

Lijiang? Do you mean Guilin? If yes, tt is far away from Chongqing to Lijiang. If you only have 7 days there is impossible to travel from Kumming to Chongqing and then go to Lijiang by bus or train.

Sorry, even if you go to Chongqing --> Lijiang --> Kunming is also impossible by bus or train within 7 days. It takes 33hrs from Chongqing to Nanning by train then change the bus to Lijiang. For return, from Nanning(Liajiang) to Kunming takes about 16 hrs. It wastes too much times on the train.

I hope you worked out how to get to Lijiang. Poor girl is getting the old town mixed up with the river near Guilin.

It you still need information from CQ You could take the bus to Emeishan where you catch an overnight train to Panzhihua arriving early morning and then it's a twenty minute taxi to the bus tation to catch a bus to Lijiang, a 10 hour trip. From Lijiang you can bus to Daili of Kunming. New road open to Kunming makes the bus a good option these days.

I didn't know there is an "old town" Lijiang (in Yunnan) and a River Lijiang (near Guilin). I covered "old town" Lijiang on my first trip, AND, the River Lijiang in a recent trip.

They were both lovely but different places!
