Gosh! It's in the middle of nowhere...

Tsivil'sk is a little town (its population is a bit more than 10 thousand, by Russian standards it's almost a village) in Chuvashia. It was found in 1584 as a fort and called upon the name of the closest river Tsivil'.

Even though there are some photos here

I'm sorry Nastya. How does one write an address to a person in Tsivilsk?
Is it FULL NAME, # STREET, CITY, REPUBLIC, INDEX, RUSSIA?

Maria Sidorkina. My Russia. Republic Chuvashia. The city of Tsivilsk. Lenin's
street 8-15. An index 42990

Thanks in advance;
Ray
P.S. By the way the site was helpful.

Lenin street, 8-15, Tsivilsk, Chuvashia Republic, Russian Federation, 42990
To Maria Sidorkina

Or in Russian:

ул. Ленина, 8-15, Цивильск, Республика Чувашия, Россия, 42990
Марии Сидоркиной

The virtual russian keyboard is here:

By the way, the index in your address looks suspicious, it's normally 6 digits.

One more thing... Don't send money, and don't send it on the post anyway. It will never reach the point. Absolute majority of the envelopes from abroad to Russia get opened. People working in the post offices suppose you send money. Then very often your letter can be just thrown away. It happned to my letters to Russia many times. So, if your letter is lost don't be too surprised. Russian post works awfully. The best of luck anyway.

Hello Nastya;

Do you know how difficult for a Russian citizen to visit United States?
What kinds of documents(VISA, Passport etc.) are required? Finally;
do you know of any successful internet relationship that developed, after
initially meeting through the internet media? Thank you very much for taken
the time and I really appreciate it.

Cheers;
Ray

Hello Ray,
I was searching for information about Tsivil'sk'sk and saw your question about someone from Russia coming to the US. The fact is if you want an unmarried female to came to the states she will have to own land in Russia before she will be issued a visa. I know you will think I am full of it but I know from a past experience. If you are thinking of sending money it may well be a scam to get your money and disappear. The is a rule to never send money to someone you have not meet in person.

Do you think these are the same place?

I have a feeling my reason for asking about this place are possibly the same as 'doodad_7262' as I am thinking about visiting a girl there, but thank
you for the cautionary words, it's difficult to know what to think sometimes.

(I've been down this road before...)

If this is a smallish rural village or town then I guess it's not too different from where I live, which could be a good or a bad thing...

Regards

Chris

Well, because of this posting I've got 4 e-mails (!) so far from different guys (English and Americans) who have some internet connection with girls in Tsivilsk. One of them even posted money there. It makes me to write again to tell you that it all looks very alarming. I've never been to there and have never actually heard of the place before I’ve read this posting. But look at this link again: http://foto.cheb.ru/cat107/

It doesn't look anything like nice little village in Exeter. It's in the middle of nowhere, uncivilized drunk little town like thousands of them in Russia. I cannot imagine how so many girls can get an internet connection in there. I believe that somebody is working really hard in Tsivilsk and not for good. Common guys, open your eyes and think logically.
