Qatar Traveling from Riyadh to Qatar

Can anyone tell me is it worth traveling from Riyadh to Qatar for a weekend? And if so dhould I drive or fly? Any suggestion on where to stay??? I would be traveling with my wife and two year old daughter.

I recommend flying. It is only 45min. Doha Airport is in the city and major hotels are within reach. You may stay at the Sheraton which is at the Cornich side close to City center (full with summer activity) and sheraton is about 10 minutes drive from LandMark which is another large Mall which have many activities for your child. You may need to hire a car because of less Taxis avaialabe in the road now days. Sheraton Hotel has a very nice Beach. Other hotels like Four Seasons, Intercontinental, Ritz,Marriott are all have nice beachs and are 5* hotels. Ramada is in town and has swiming pool only.
