Hi

Some of my friends want to go next week for few days, make some hikes near the lake, do u have any recommendations of a nice Zimmer for about 5 - 7 people

In the town of Bohinj Bistrica (5 km east of the lake, i.e., before the lake when coming from Bled) there is a tourist information office supplying info on what to do in the area, as well as arranging rooms for travellers. It's in the small shopping centre with the Mercator minimarket.

A nice half hour hike we did last week about 8 km from the town: Savica Falls - a climb of over 500 stairs. The falls aren't that impressive by Slovenian standards though (also costs SIT 400). Boka Falls, just before Bovec, can be seen from the road and are much more impressive - even from a distance.

It is located in a quiet location and a nice starting point for walking around - it is 600m away from Vogel cable car station, 30 minutes by foot from Savica waterfall and many mountains around Bohinj lake can be visited in daily trips.

If you have time, I suggest you try to visit at least some of the lakes in Triglav Lakes Valley. If you start early in the morning, you can visit all seven lakes in one day. Other great locations are Komna and Crna prst mountains, from both you have a great view of the Bohinj lake and surrounding mountains.
