Hi, Wife and I spent three great days in Tallinn in March this year and now can't wait to get back there. One of the things that was so nice was the weather. Freezing cold, but a pretty picture of snow covered fields and streets. Beautiful!

We have a chance to get away for three nights at the beginning of December. Would the snow have already started by then so we can expect more of the same? Would there be a Christmas feel to the place even from 3rd to 6th of December, you know, decorations, special events etc?

Its nice to hear that you liked Tallinn. There is no guarantee that there will be snow at that time, but there usually is. Shops start selling the christmas decorations already in November, so in early December Im sure there will be decorations all over the town. The annual Christmas market at the town square opens in the end on November. But as I already said, no-one can say for sure that there will be snow in December. :)

I forgot to say that at that time there are also events like Christmas Jazz (Estonian and international musicians perform jazz in venues across town, including churches, clubs and theatres) and Black Night Film Festival (An unique event combining main feature film festival with the sub-festivals of animated films, student films and children/youth films).

Thank you for that, Kirsti. It sounds like a nice time to go. We certainly aren't looking for warm weather as we live in Spain where it has been approaching 45 degrees for a few days this week!
