Ubud Hotel or Villa?

Hi! My friends and I are planning a trip to Ubud this coming September and would like to get suggestions on where to stay. We are around 4-6 pax (2 pairs are couples)and are considering either a hotel or maybe a 2 or 3 bedroom villa. Any suggestions? We plan to stay for 3nights.

I would recommend Waka Namya (used to be known as Waka Padma). It is a small resort, so if you wish to enjoy some quiet and peace, this is the place. It even provides transport to / from Ubud town centre and it also arranges morning trips to visit rice paddies.

If you're staying in Ubud Villa will be the choice :)
There are plenty Hotel and Villas to choose from and they're very good - it all depends on your budget.
I recommend Santi Mandala Resort & Spa (I put a review on them in my travel page).
Begawan Giri and Villa Kayu Manis in Sayan was also very beautiful but they're pretty pricey

Check my travelogue to Bali. I was just there 3 weeks ago (in Ubud).
We loved the service and "away from it all" atmosphere of Ulun Ubud

since you have a group i suggest a villa. you will get great value-- and get a kitchen and much more.. there are 100's to choose from - so figure out your budget- and start shopping. you usally get what you pay for. I just got back and fell in love with the bali T houses. have fun!
